Things to do

Bowood Park Hotel & Golf Course is situated in the beautiful wooded valley of the River Allen a stones throw away from the visually breath taking and historic North Cornish coast.

Historic Sites

The Bowood Park estate is steeped in history, the golf course itself was once a deer park owned by the Black Prince. But just 5 miles away in the village of Tintagel is where the real historic spirit of the area can be found.

This is the very cove where, according to legend the infant Arthur was thrown by waves onto the beach and into Merlin’s cave. You can visit Tintagel Castle, in legend it was King Arthur's Castle fortress and was believed to have been constructed around AD1140. Tintagel is also home to King Arthur’s Great Halls, a magnificent building which houses the Round Table associated with King Arthur and his Knights.
